Privacy Policy

1. Who I am

This website, selfpoweredmode.com, is run by Martin, an individual based in Singapore.

In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" mean Martin, the person who runs this site. "You" means anyone who visits this site, joins my email list or buys from me.

I am responsible for the personal data you give me through this site. For any privacy question or request, please use my contact form.

This policy follows Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

2. What I collect

Information you give me

When you sign up for a free download, workbook or bonus, I collect:

• your email address, and
• your name, if the form asks for it.

When you buy from me

When you buy one of my own products, such as a digital course, guide or physical product, I collect:

• your name and email address,
• what you bought, the price and the date, and
• your shipping address and phone number, if you order a physical product.

Payments are handled by a secure payment provider. I never see or store your full card details.

When you contact me

If you use my contact form or reply to one of my emails, I receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the services that host and run this site may automatically record technical details when you visit, such as:

• your IP address and approximate location,
• your browser and device type,
• the pages you view and the time of your visit, and
• which page or link brought you here.

If you buy someone else's product through one of my affiliate links, you pay on the seller's own website, and I don't receive your payment details.

I don't ask for sensitive information, such as health, religious or financial details. Please don't send it to me.

3. How I use it

I use your information to:

• send you the download, workbook or bonus you asked for,
• process your order, deliver your product and give you access to anything you've bought,
• send you emails with marketing lessons, updates, offers for my own products and recommendations for other people's products, some of which may include affiliate links,
• answer your questions when you contact me,
• keep the site working and secure, and
• understand which pages are useful so I can improve them.

Every email I send has an unsubscribe link. You can leave my list at any time and I will stop emailing you.

I will never sell or rent your personal data.

4. Why I'm allowed to use it

Under the PDPA, I collect, use and share your personal data with your consent:

• When you sign up through one of my forms, you consent to joining my email list and receiving my emails.
• When you buy from me or contact me, you consent to me using your details to process and deliver your order, or to reply to you.

You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights).

I may also use or share your data without consent where the PDPA or another law allows or requires it, for example to keep sales records for tax.

5. Services I use

I'm a one-person business, so I rely on a few trusted services to run this site. Each one handles some of your data on my behalf, under its own privacy policy:

• LeadCreatorHosts the pages on this site and shows the sign-up forms. It may record the technical information described above.
• Systeme.ioCollects the details you enter on my sign-up forms and stores my email list.
• FormSubmitDelivers the messages you send through my contact form to my inbox.
• NamecheapHosts my email inbox, so messages I send and receive pass through Namecheap's servers.
• Payment and delivery providersWhen you buy one of my products, a secure payment provider processes your payment and, for physical products, a delivery company receives your shipping details.
• WistiaPlays the videos embedded on some pages. When you watch a video, Wistia may collect viewing data and set cookies.
• Google FontsProvides the fonts on some pages. Your browser connects to Google's servers to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
• Image hosting (ImgBB and Amazon Web Services)Some images on this site are stored with these services, so your browser loads them from their servers.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser.

I don't run my own advertising or tracking cookies on this site. However, the services listed above may set cookies to make their features work, such as remembering that you've already signed up, playing a video or counting how many bonuses have been claimed.

When you click one of my affiliate links, the seller's checkout platform also sets a cookie so the sale can be credited to me (see the next section).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as video playback or sign-up forms, may not work properly if you do.

7. Affiliate links

Some links on this site and in my emails are affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

When you click an affiliate link, you leave my site. The seller or its checkout and affiliate platform (for example, PayKickstart for LeadCreator) records the click, usually with a cookie, so it knows the sale came from me.

Anything you enter on the seller's website, including payment details, is handled under their privacy policy, not this one. I only see commission reports, not your payment information.

8. Who I share it with

I only share your personal data:

• with the service providers listed in Services I use, only so they can do their job for me, including delivering your order,
• if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a court or regulator, or
• to protect my rights, my users or the public from fraud or harm.

If the business is ever sold or transferred, your data may move to the new owner, who must keep protecting it as this policy describes.

9. Where your data goes

I'm based in Singapore, and some of the services I use store data in other countries, including the United States.

When your data is transferred outside Singapore, I only use providers that protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA, as the PDPA requires.

10. How long I keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your details. After you unsubscribe, I may keep your email address on a suppression list so I never email you again by mistake.
• Purchase records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually 5 years in Singapore.
• Messages you send me: for as long as needed to answer you and keep a reasonable record, then I delete them.
• Technical data: for as long as the hosting and service providers keep it under their own policies.

11. Keeping it safe

I use reputable providers that encrypt connections (this site loads over HTTPS), and I protect my accounts with strong passwords.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, I will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

12. Your rights

You can ask me to:

• see the personal data I hold about you,
• correct anything that's wrong or out of date,
• delete your data, unless I'm required by law to keep it,
• stop using it, by unsubscribing or withdrawing your consent, and
• tell you how your data has been used or shared in the past year.

To make a request, use my contact form. I may need to confirm who you are first, and I'll reply within 30 days.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore (pdpc.gov.sg).

13. Children

This site is for adults building an online business. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you believe a child has given me their details, contact me and I'll delete them.

14. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when my business or the services I use change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.

If a change significantly affects how I use your data, I'll let my email subscribers know.
